The history of one's family allows each of us to connect to generations of loved ones, reminiscing on the past as we discover names, dates, locations, and memorable stories, and looking to the future for the perpetuation of our family's genes and experiences. If you have a short note you wish to place on the Bulletin Board with your e-mail address, please e-mail it to [email protected] or [email protected]. Pictured on left: (Rev.) Albert Alexander Cameron, b. in CT in 1913, the father of Robert M. Cameron, Rocky Mountain Regional President. Genealogy Notes 1. July/2010 - Catherine Cameron Jensen: "I have been tracing my Cameron line in TN and OR, am on Ancestry.com, and am interested in getting back into Scotland with my research. I have the story now of my gg grandfather, John Cameron, who with his cousin, Thomas Cameron, joined the conferate army in 1862, was captured by the Yankees, escaped, died in battle, leaving his farm and wife and three children, one of which was my g grandfather, who came west. I am most interested in connecting with other Camerons on this line who might already have information going back to Scotland." 2. July/2010 - Marcie Wells: "If any ancestors came through Ellis Island, they have a website with names, ages, etc. of most who came through there. My Dad and his family were there, but I haven't found my maternal grandmother yet (her ship was quarantined with smallpox so they didn't disembark at Ellis Island)."
